Trento 81-94 Slask Wroclaw
Trento's hopes of protecting home advantage were undone by a damaging combination of careless possession and Slask Wroclaw's aggressive defense, as the visitors walked away with a 94-81 victory. The game was decided less by shooting brilliance than by control: Slask converted their chances efficiently and punished Trento's mistakes, while the hosts finished with a turnover count that made a comeback virtually impossible.
Slask Wroclaw built their winning margin on superior accuracy from the field. They made 34 of 68 field goal attempts, a solid return that kept the scoreboard moving throughout. Trento managed only 27 successful field goals from 63 attempts, and although they connected on 10 three-pointers from 34 tries, the volume shooting did not translate into enough points to close the gap. From the free throw line, Trento hit 17 of 23, while Slask were slightly more productive with 20 made from 26 attempts. The visitors also shared the ball well, recording 22 assists to Trento's 21, but the real separation came in transition and off turnovers.
The statistical story of the night is impossible to ignore. Trento committed 24 turnovers, a figure that handed Slask a steady stream of extra possessions. Slask, by contrast, gave the ball away only 10 times. That 14-turnover differential effectively decided the contest. Slask's defense was relentless, racking up 16 steals, with their guards repeatedly jumping passing lanes and turning Trento's half-court sets into fast-break opportunities. Trento did manage 5 steals and 3 blocks, but those defensive plays were too infrequent to shift the momentum.
On the boards, Trento actually held a clear advantage, pulling down 39 rebounds including 12 on the offensive end, compared to Slask's 27 total rebounds with just 6 offensive boards. That edge gave Trento second-chance points, but it was not enough to offset their giveaway problem. Trento also committed 26 personal fouls against Slask's 19, sending the visitors to the line frequently and allowing them to keep the scoreboard ticking even when their half-court offense stalled. Slask recorded zero blocks, yet their pressure defense more than compensated.
The flow of the game followed a predictable pattern. Whenever Trento threatened to build rhythm, a turnover or a foul interrupted them. Slask's ability to convert those mistakes into points meant Trento were always chasing. The hosts' 10 made three-pointers kept them within touching distance at times, but Slask's two-point efficiency and free throw consistency ensured they never surrendered the lead down the stretch. For anyone following the Trento vs Slask Wroclaw preview, the key takeaway was clear: Slask's discipline and defensive pressure were always likely to be decisive, and so it proved.
This result carries weight for the league standings, with Slask Wroclaw collecting crucial points on the road while Trento are left to rue a performance defined by unforced errors. Trento's rebounding and three-point shooting offer positives to build on, but 24 turnovers is a number no team can survive. Slask, meanwhile, showed exactly how to win away from home: protect the ball, attack the passing lanes, and make free throws when it matters.
