Tenerife Lenovo secured an 82-75 victory over Türk Telekom, a result built on superior shooting efficiency and ball movement rather than dominance on the glass. The hosts converted 27 of 61 field goal attempts, while the visitors managed just 24 makes from 60 attempts. That three-make gap, combined with a free-throw edge, proved decisive in a game that was closer than the final margin suggests.
The most telling number in this contest is the assist count. Tenerife Lenovo dished out 20 assists compared to just 12 for Türk Telekom, an eight-assist swing that points to a far more cohesive offensive structure. The home side consistently created quality looks through ball movement, while Türk Telekom relied more heavily on individual creation. That difference shows up in the shooting splits: Tenerife Lenovo shot 44.3 percent from the field, while Türk Telekom finished at 40 percent. Both teams made eight three-pointers, but Tenerife Lenovo needed 27 attempts to get there, while Türk Telekom took 22. From beyond the arc, neither side was efficient, but the hosts compensated by getting to the line more often and converting at a higher rate.
Free throws were another separator. Tenerife Lenovo went 20 of 26 from the stripe, a 76.9 percent clip, while Türk Telekom made 19 of 25, or 76 percent. The one-point difference in made free throws is minor, but combined with the three extra field goals, it accounts for the seven-point final margin. Turnovers also played a role. Türk Telekom coughed the ball up 15 times compared to 13 for Tenerife Lenovo, and those extra possessions proved costly in a game decided by single-digit margins.
The rebounding battle went the other way. Türk Telekom won the boards 32-29, including a 12-10 edge on the offensive glass. That should have given them more second-chance opportunities, but they were unable to convert those extra possessions into points at a rate that could offset their shooting deficit. Tenerife Lenovo's 19 defensive rebounds were enough to limit the damage, and their seven steals matched Türk Telekom's total, keeping the transition game relatively even.
Tactically, this was a game won in the half-court. Tenerife Lenovo's 20 assists on 27 made field goals mean nearly 74 percent of their baskets were assisted, a mark of excellent ball movement and player positioning. Türk Telekom assisted on just 50 percent of their made field goals, a sign of stagnant offense and a reliance on isolation plays. When analyzing Tenerife Lenovo vs Türk Telekom lineups, key players, tactics, the contrast is clear: the home side's system generated better shots, while the visitors' individual talent kept them close but not close enough.
Both teams finished with 24 personal fouls, so neither can claim a significant edge in physicality or officiating. The difference was simply efficiency and cohesion. Tenerife Lenovo's ability to turn possessions into assisted baskets, combined with a slight edge at the free-throw line and fewer turnovers, was enough to secure the win. Türk Telekom's rebounding advantage kept them in the game, but their inferior ball movement and lower shooting percentage ultimately left them short. The scoreline reflects a competitive contest, but the underlying numbers point to a Tenerife Lenovo team that executed its offensive plan more effectively when it mattered.
