Como produced a remarkable performance to defeat Manchester United 4-1 in their [{league}] clash, with Nico Paz scoring twice in a result that underlined the home side's sharpness in front of goal. The scoreline reflected a game in which Como converted their key moments while United struggled to contain the hosts' attacking rhythm.
The scoring opened after just two minutes when Nico Paz found the net to give Como an early lead. Anastasios Douvikas doubled the advantage on 49 minutes, finishing shortly after the interval to put the home side firmly in control. Paz then struck again on 57 minutes to complete his brace and make it 3-0. Jacobo Ramón added a fourth on 76 minutes as Como's dominance continued. Manchester United pulled one back in stoppage time through Joshua Zirkzee on 90+1 minutes, a late consolation that did little to change the outcome.
The match was also shaped by a series of disciplinary and tactical moments. Andrey Santos was booked on 25 minutes for Manchester United, and Carlos Baleba followed him into the book on 50 minutes. Shea Lacey received a yellow card on 86 minutes, while Como's Marc-Oliver Kempf was cautioned on 84 minutes. Manchester United made a double change at half-time, introducing Matheus Cunha and replacing Andrey Santos, before further substitutions saw Bruno Fernandes, Matthijs De Ligt and Bryan Mbeumo enter the fray. Como rotated their side late on, with Martin Baturina, Lucas Da Cunha, Maximo Perrone, Nico Paz and Yan Couto all making way as the hosts managed the closing stages.
The impact of these events was decisive. The early goal from Paz set the tone and forced United to chase the game, while the second-half strikes from Douvikas and Paz broke any resistance. The Como vs Manchester United lineups and tactics told a clear story: Como's key players delivered in the decisive moments, and United's substitutions could not alter the flow. The result leaves United reflecting on a difficult outing, while Como can take real encouragement from a complete team performance.
