GIF Sundsvall 3-2 ljungSKile SK
GIF Sundsvall completed a remarkable second-half turnaround to beat ljungSKile SK 3-2 in their latest league fixture, overturning a two-goal deficit with three unanswered goals after the break. ljungSKile SK had looked in control for much of the first hour, but the home side's response changed the entire complexion of the contest.
The visitors struck early. Lukas corner put ljungSKile SK ahead in just the 3rd minute, giving his side a dream start and forcing GIF Sundsvall to chase the game from the outset. The same player doubled the lead in the 39th minute, completing his brace and sending ljungSKile SK into the interval with a comfortable two-goal cushion. At that stage, the away side appeared to be managing the match well, and the GIF Sundsvall vs ljungSKile SK lineups suggested the visitors' key players were dictating the tempo.
The match turned after the restart. Elvis Hansson pulled one back for GIF Sundsvall in the 56th minute, converting the chance that gave the home team belief. Just a minute later, ljungSKile SK made a double substitution, bringing on William Nilsson and David Frisk in the 57th minute, an attempt to steady a game that was suddenly slipping away. GIF Sundsvall responded with their own changes: Nils Eriksson came on in the 64th minute, followed by a double switch in the 69th minute that introduced Shalom Ekong and Ludvig Nåvik. ljungSKile SK also made a late double substitution in the 76th minute, with Lukas corner, the two-goal scorer, making way along with vilmer tyren.
The decisive moment arrived in the 86th minute when Eron Gojani scored for GIF Sundsvall, levelling the match and capping a sustained period of pressure. The comeback was completed in first-half stoppage time of the second period, in the 90+1st minute, when GIF Sundsvall scored again to snatch all three points. No cards or penalties were recorded in the match, meaning the story was told entirely through goals and tactical substitutions.
The impact of the events was clear. ljungSKile SK's early authority, built on Lukas corner's first-half brace, evaporated once Hansson scored in the 56th minute. The visitors' substitutions, including the 76th-minute withdrawal of their goalscorer, failed to halt GIF Sundsvall's momentum. The home side's bench changes, particularly the introductions of Ekong and Nåvik, added fresh legs for the final push, and the late goals from Gojani and the stoppage-time strike turned a two-goal defeat into a dramatic victory. For ljungSKile SK, it was a painful collapse; for GIF Sundsvall, a testament to their persistence and the effectiveness of their second-half tactics.
