Fenerbahce secured a 74-65 victory over Partizan Mozzart Bet in a hard-fought contest that was decided by defensive pressure and rebounding dominance rather than offensive fireworks. The hosts never allowed Partizan to settle into a comfortable rhythm, building their win on 14 blocks and a 41-33 rebounding advantage that repeatedly denied the visitors second-chance opportunities.
Fenerbahce's scoring came primarily from inside the arc and the free-throw line. The hosts converted 26 of 56 field goal attempts, but struggled from beyond the arc, hitting just 4 of 20 three-point tries. Their free-throw shooting proved more reliable, with 18 makes from 25 attempts. Partizan Mozzart Bet, meanwhile, managed 23 successful field goals from 66 attempts, a lower percentage than the hosts, and connected on 6 of 20 three-pointers. The visitors were less efficient at the charity stripe, converting only 13 of 24 free throws, a five-point deficit compared to Fenerbahce that proved costly in a game decided by nine points.
The defensive statistics tell the story of this matchup. Fenerbahce's 14 blocks were a season-highlight-level figure and fundamentally altered Partizan's shot selection, forcing the visitors into contested attempts throughout the night. Partizan managed only 4 blocks in response. The visitors did generate 10 steals compared to Fenerbahce's 9, and they took better care of the ball with just 12 turnovers against Fenerbahce's 19. However, those extra possessions were squandered by poor shooting and an inability to capitalize at the free-throw line. Partizan's 16 assists showed decent ball movement, but Fenerbahce's 14 assists came alongside a more balanced scoring effort that kept the hosts in control.
Fenerbahce's rebounding dominance was built on 30 defensive boards and 11 offensive rebounds, matching Partizan's 11 offensive rebounds but far exceeding their 22 defensive rebounds. This differential gave Fenerbahce crucial extra possessions and limited Partizan's transition opportunities. The hosts also committed 20 personal fouls compared to Partizan's 22, a marginal difference that did not significantly affect the flow. With no penalties, red cards, or notable incidents recorded, the game was decided purely by execution in the half-court and at the stripe.
The impact of these events on the game flow was clear. Fenerbahce's shot-blocking presence discouraged Partizan from attacking the rim consistently, while their rebounding superiority ensured that even when Partizan forced misses, the hosts often regained possession. Partizan's 19-point deficit in free-throw scoring and their inability to convert around the basket despite 66 field goal attempts ultimately left them chasing the game. Fenerbahce's 19 turnovers kept the visitors within striking distance, but Partizan could not string together enough stops and scores to close the gap. For those analyzing Fenerbahce vs Partizan Mozzart Bet lineups, key players, and tactics, this game highlighted how defensive length and rebounding can overcome poor three-point shooting and turnover issues. Fenerbahce's ability to protect the paint and control the glass proved to be the decisive tactical edge in a victory that was more workmanlike than spectacular.
